Roles that National Conveyancing undertakes on your behalf

A settlement agent, or conveyancer, transfers legal ownership of a property from the seller to the buyer. To do this, we:-

  1. Search Landgate and check for encumbrances or conditions attached to the property that the buyer may not be aware of
  2. Arrange for the discharge of encumbrances
  3. Provide the bank with the documents it needs to prepare their mortgage/s
  4. Make enquires with the Local Council, Water Corporation, Land Tax Department, and, if necessary, the strata company
  5. Prepare and check legal documentation for settlement
  6. Ensure that special conditions contained in the contract have been fully attended to
  7. Arrange for the payment of stamp duty
  8. Attend settlement where the exchange of title and finance occurs
